The Military Training for the 2023 freshmen at Yango University

The 14-day military training for the 2023 freshmen at Yango University ended successfully. Students were drilled physically, technically and psychologically. Military education is a compulsory duty for Chinese university students. It is considered an opportunity for the students to discipline their will, toughen their bodies, as well as learn some basic military information.Although very short, the distinctive army life leaves students with long-lasting memories. Let’s enjoy the wonderful moments together.

Military training is the first lesson of college life and an indispensable part of our growth. In the military training, we not only build our body, but also raise our quality and spirit. During the military training, we acquired basic military theoretical knowledge and skills, such as step exercises, queue training and so on. Although the training was hard, we never flinched. The strict requirements and care of the instructors made us more determined to go on. Through military training, we were deeply aware of the importance of unity, discipline and responsibility. Teamwork was a necessity to complete the tasks, in which we cooperated and supported each other. At the same time, military training also exercised our willpower and perseverance, so that we could face the challenges of the future more bravely.

College military training is an unforgettable experience. It tested not only our physical strength, but also our mental toughness. Strict discipline and intensive training made us realize the importance of teamwork and perseverance. Although it was hard, we learned independence and self-discipline. It is a process of growing up, from ignorant teenagers to more mature and responsible adults.

Only by enduring loneliness can one truly see the true chapter. Military training is like flowing clouds and water, and I deeply feel that "without enduring a period of cold and piercing bones, how can plum blossoms smell fragrant.". The military training process is like a furnace that forges the soul. On this burning battlefield, I experienced the truth of "grinding an iron pestle into a needle.". Nothing is trivial, and even a simple action cannot be achieved overnight. Basic movements such as standing at attention, standing at ease, straddling, and turning also require daily training to be done, not just learned.

"耐得寂寞，方可见真章"。军训如行云流水，我深感"不经一番寒彻骨，怎得梅花扑鼻香"。军训历程如同铸炼心灵的火炉，在这片烽火燃烧的操场上，我体验到了"铁杵磨成针"的道理。事无小事，再简单的动作，也不是一蹴而就的。立正、稍息、跨立、转体这些基本动作，也需要每天的训练，才能“做得到”，而不仅仅是“学得会”。

我的军训之旅

With time passing by, we have finally arrived at the military training which we expect greatly. For my perspective, the military trainingcould have a significant impact onenhancingourpatriotism and national defense concept.Apparently,I learned agreat dealfrom this activity.

During thefirst week of the training, which impressed me most is the field training. All of the training activities are marching around the whole school twice, whichwasaccompanied by some unknown obstacles.

Each of us followed the instructor's instructions,marching on regularly. The firstdifficulty we met was running uphill. During the march, we were alreadyphysicallyexhausted, let alone running uphill. However, thinking of the meaning and the spirit of the military training, we made up our mind to follow the instructors persistently. Shortly after that,we encountered our second difficulty, smog bombs. The instructors usedthesebombs and fire extinguishers to disrupt our advance. However, we all were skillfully escaped them and they stopped our marching in vain. This proved that we were not easilydefeated, butcarried on withevenmore spirit. On thewayof marching and training, there aresome challenging obstacles butthere are some picturesque sceneryas well. This training is also a discovery of the pretty landscape of our campus. I just wonder, sometime in next spring or autumn, some placearound here will be an ideal place foran outing withmyclassmates.

I hope to learn more from this military training. I amlooking forward to next week'sfurthertraining. The military might come to an end but the gaining may never come to an end.

盼望着，盼望着，我们终于迎来了令人激动的军训。在我看来，军训很重要的意义在于增强我们大学生的爱国主义和国防观念。我从这此军训活动中学到了很多。

在这两周的训练中，给我印象最深的是实地训练，绕全校两圈，这其中伴随着一些未知障碍和重重困境。我们遵照教官的指示有序地前进。我们遇到的第一个障碍是跑步上坡。在行进过程中，我们已经筋疲力尽了，更不用说上坡了。然而，想到军训的意义和精神，我们咬紧牙关，下定决心，按照教官的指示去坚持到最后。不久，我们遇到了第二个困难，烟雾弹。教官们使用烟雾弹和灭火器阻止我们前进。然而，我们没有被打败，而是以更坚强的精神继续前进。在行军训练的路上，有艰难的障碍，更有优美的风景。这次军训，是一次美景发现之旅，让我看到了校园如画般的自然美。下个夏秋季，校园一隅，我们相约来个户外游玩吧！

我希望从军训中可以受益更多，期待下周的军训精彩内容。军训会结束，但受益永不结束。

My Views on Military Training

With the approaching of the new semester, millions of Chinese students are on the point of taking. a military training. However, whether it should be necessary for students to attend military training has aroused a hot debate. As a result, there are two quite different views about it.

It is not rare to hear some freshmen complain about the military training. They consider the military training in college to be pointless. During the period, students are merely trained in marching and walking moves, and it never makes any sense to them how they're going to defend their country with this perfectly coordinated walking pace. Besides, students almost don't have enough time to rest or recover. What's worse, a sudden increase of physical exercise, especially during summer, does harm to students' health. Others, however, hold the positive view. They say that it is a chance for students to learn discipline and cooperation and develop team-spirit.

Weighting the pros and cons of these statements, I am inclined to agree with the latter. Firstly, through military training, not only do the students strengthen their bodies but also increase their willpower. Perseverance plays a greatly important role during the training and this valuable trait is of great significance for daily life. Secondly, military training, which serves as an opportunity for freshmen coming from different places to get to know each other, makes them united as a family. Finally, it helps to enhance students' national defense consciousness and foster their patriotism.

To summarize, military training helps build students' bodies and willpower, and at the same time, it strengthens the unity among students. Moreover, military training, in large part, cultivates students' patriotic spirit.

随着新学期的临近，数以百万计的中国学生即将入学参加军事训练。然而，学生是否有必要参加军事训练引起了热议。因此，有两种截然不同的观点。

听到一些新生抱怨军训并不罕见。他们认为大学里的军事训练毫无意义。在这段时间里，学生们只接受行军和步行的训练，如何以这种完美协调的步行速度保卫自己的国家，这对他们来说毫无意义。此外，学生们几乎没有足够的时间休息或恢复。更糟糕的是，体育锻炼的突然增加，尤其是在夏天，对学生的健康有害。然而，其他人则持积极观点。他们说，这是学生学习纪律、合作和培养团队精神的机会。
