My name's Gary and I'm originally from London in the UK. I lived in Fuzhou for the past nine years. Originally I was a boxing coach in schools in the UK dealing with troublesome children at school that nine times out of ten were taken out of mainstream schools because of their behavior and I used to teach them sport and boxing and give them some guidance in their future education. I then came to China in 2016 came to Fuzhou. I've always lived in Fuzhou I class Fuzhou as my home. I've been an online E S L teacher for the past.Seven years. I use technology, a lot in most of my classes and with covid, we had to readjust our skills and educate ourselves in the technology that we have at hand to use to educate. I am an MMA coach, Buisness mentor and IELTS speaking coach.

随着信息技术的迅猛发展,教育领域也迎来了前所未有的变革。传统的教学模式逐渐被新兴的科技手段所取代,在线学习、虚拟课堂等新形式层出不穷。这种融合不仅提高了学习的灵活性和便利性,也为学生提供了更加丰富的学习资源。通过互联网,学生可以随时随地获取知识,打破了时间和空间的限制。

With the rapid development of information technology, the field of education has also ushered in unprecedented changes. The traditional teaching mode is gradually replaced by the emerging technology means, online learning, virtual classroom and other new forms emerge one after another. This integration not only improves the flexibility and convenience of learning, but also provides students with more abundant learning resources. Through the Internet, students can get knowledge anytime and anywhere, breaking the restrictions of time and space.

然而,教育与科技的融合并非一帆风顺。教师如何有效利用科技工具、学生如何适应新的学习方式等问题亟待解决。教育者需要不断更新自己的教学理念,掌握新技术,以便更好地引导学生。同时,学校也应当提供必要的技术支持和培训,确保每位教师和学生都能在科技的浪潮中立足。


However, the integration of education and technology has not been smooth. How to make effective use of scientific and technological tools and how to adapt students to new learning styles are urgent problems to be solved. Educators need to constantly update their teaching concepts and master new technologies in order to better guide students. At the same time, schools should also provide the necessary technical support and training to ensure that every teacher and student can gain a foothold in the wave of technology.


在中国,部分大学的学生在大学四年里上的课程几乎都是预先安排好的。同一专业的学生都上同样的课程。在美国,每个学期的初始阶段(或前一个学期末)学生都会拿到一个课程目录表,必须由自己来选择课程。在规模小一些的学校,每个学期会有多达2000种课程供学生选择,而大学校可能会有10000种之多。

In China, the courses students take during their four years at university are almost always pre-arranged. Students of the same major all take the same courses, with few exceptions. In the United States, at the beginning of each semester (or the end of the previous semester), students are given a list of courses and must choose their own courses. At smaller schools, students can choose from as many as 2,000 courses per semester, while larger schools may have as many as 10,000.


通常,一个专业有规定的学分,而所要求的学分学生可以通过选修众多不同的课程来取得。另外,大多数美国学校要求学生选修大量专业之外的课程,以使学生受到更全面的教育。尽管美国的教育方式听起来十分开放,但也需要学生为自己的教育内容、范围及时间进度负主要责任。


Usually, a major has a specified number of credits, and the required credits can be obtained by taking a number of different courses. In addition, most American schools require students to take a large number of courses outside their major in order to give students a more well-rounded education. Although the American way of education sounds very open, it also requires students to take primary responsibility for the content, scope, and timing of their education.
